Buddhist Art

2010 - present

My interest in Buddhism led me to Dharamsala in India. Home to the Dalai Lama and the Tibetans in exile. Here I saw Tibetan Buddhist art up close.

Amazed, I set about studying the iconography and techniques of Thangka painting. And on my return transferred the principles to the clay.

Works vary from traditional pieces to expressive forms.
